Pretty Box

Pretty huh! The box is made from one 8 1/2x11 sheet of card stock. There are 8 med size greeting cards enclosed with matching envelops. The little thank you gift is made for Emily's play director, Caroline Good. Caroline is one amazing women to work 2 weeks with crazy out of control high school students to pull of a Shakespeare's play. This year it is a spoof off of 12 Knights. Emily got the lead and if you would like to join us for an evening of laughs, it is Sat June 27 at 8pm (but come early for good seating) at the Putnam County Play House in Greencastle Indiana. I am sure Caroline works many more weeks before hand, getting everything thing needed ready. She personally made Emily's costume! It is amazing to see the kids get a script and within 10 working days have it show ready! I don't know how she does it, but they pull it off every year.

You will never believe this!

Bobby and his dad was asked to come on stage at the Comedy Barn in Pigeon Forge. Dad (on the far left in lower picture) had us in tears with laughter... and Bobby played the hero.... but he is already that to me! I cannot believe that both of our guys were invited to be on stage for their 15 minutes of fame! We have the video of the evenings funny event.

Miss Me?

Can you guess where this is? The Smokey Mountains! Ahh beautiful huh? We stayed a week in the beautiful cabin. Sat on the deck and enjoyed every minute of the peace and quiet. No phone, no work, no nothing! Had fun in town and saw some amazing sights. I highly recommend the Ripley's Aquarium (way cool) in Gatlinburg, and the Titanic Museum in Pigeon Forge.

The 3 story cabin was so nice. 3 full baths, hot tub, pool table, cable, an amazing view, everything just like home plus more. Rocking chairs on the deck that over looked the lake and mountain views. There was a trail to the lake that was really steep, Emily hiked it and returned home with a pulled muscle. The top floor was a loft and the master bedroom with a king bed and claw foot tub perfect for a long hot soak!

Just look at this sunset! I can see God's signature on all of this beautiful work. -can you?

Tea Pot Box

This adorable tea pot box was made especially for some dear friends who have begged me for my chocolate chip cookie recipe for years. I made a little box that glued in the middle of two tea pot shaped chip board pages. Covered front and back with Stampin Up's amazing background papers  and card stock,  added wire "steam" and brads. The recipe is written on a fan fold "booklet" and it tucks inside the box. This is a one of a kind gift for my one of a kind wonderful friends. All products used is from Stampin Up... of course! (oh except for the little bitty stamp on the back)

Cool Down with Scrapping

This was a fun page to do for my kids playing in the snow. I shared this idea in Jan 08 at Scrap Club. We used background paper strips cut at different length and laid out in a burst from behind the photos. Die cut the big-o'l snow flakes out with my wonder machine the Big Shot! All products are from Stampin Up, except for the silver snowflake brads. I love the page, but love the family in it photos the most!

Painted Memory Boxes

Here is a special memory box I painted and filled with my famous Chocolate Chip Cookies for a dear young lady who lost her best friend in an accident this week. Memory boxes are to keep special treasures of loved ones that have passed on. It is a special place to keep notes, photos, and maybe little gifts that was given to you by the person. I didn't know the impact something like this would have, till I painted one and gave to a friend who lost her mom. She comments on seeing the box on her dresser daily and memories of her mom flood her mind.
Yes I can paint you a memory box for any occasion. Just click here to contact me for an order.
