April Card Swap part 6

Card by Tracy S. Oh this will come handy soon. Love the embossed dress. This is a cute stamp set - maybe it will be in the new catalog? I hope I hope I hope.

Mini 3x3 card by Jenny P. Cute button flowers. Stamp the image and pop dot or glue buttons right over the flowers. Nice little detail.
Tag by Rose W. The black lace on the edge is embossed and really is very nice detail to the tag. This would made a great addition to a card front.
SO MANY IDEAS
SO LITTLE TIME
 MAKE SOME STAMPING TIME.

April Card Swaps part 5

Card by Becky K. Becky thinks she isn't a very good stamper... what do you think? Leave a comment here on Becky's card and be entered in a drawing for a prize. Let build Becky's stamping confidence. I happen to love this card - love the words, love the flower, love the colors, love the layout, and love the design on the envelope flap too.

Oh this amazing card is by the one and only Anita T. Anita is the most detailed stamper I know. She not only goes over board on the card front, but see the envelope peeking out and the rhinestone on it.

Anita also razzle dazzles up the inside of the card too. Over the top, stamped to the hilt is Anita's style.

April Card Swap part 4

Card by Gloria R. Well I didn't know that the stamp set had a stamp that really matched the paper pattern. Stink'in cool Stampin Up! Beautiful, don't ya agree?
Card by Tracy S. I love this stamp set. So antique girly. Super simple quick and easy card. Emboss the edges a bit, stamp the design, sign and mail!  My kind of stampign project.

April Card Swap part 3

Card by Georgeann C. This is a stamp we found at a girls day outing. She stamped on the amazing Stampin Up's designer series paper, cut it out and folded on the fold lines. Added the pearls for buttons and deco around the neckline. Great card to give a gift card in.

Card by Judy H. Wow is all I can say. Layers, coloring, pearls and lace. What more could a girl ask for other then money inside!

April Swaps part 2

Card by Susan C. Trick to the cuteness. She inked the embossing folder and put the paper in and so the paper got ink on it when it went threw the big shot. Then she ran a little bit darker color over the raised embossed edges. Pretty cool huh!:!
Card by Sarah. Yep she had cut out the silhouette. Punched out the circles and added the greeting. She made these cards for a baby shower.

April Card Swaps part 1

Card by Debbie B-L. I like the way she framed the corners. Curly Label Punch with little slits to fit the corner in. How to get the different color ink on one stamp design? Deb colored on the stamp using markers, then huffed on it to moisten the ink on the rubber and then stamped.

Card by Sharon M. Cute peek-a-boo flower punch windows. How to you line up the stamped image behind the windows? Stamp threw the window with the card closed so you can see where to place it.

Sweet Teresa from California who to plan parties with themes sent me a box of some great finds. I especially love the pomegranate sugar scrub. I put it at the kitchen sink to use on my hands often, but really just to open and smell it.... ohhh so good. Candace says, "Sugar scrub? How dose that get the dishes clean?" Oh that child ... if I had a dime for every time she makes me laugh I would be rich in money, but instead richly blessed!
ENJOY YOUR DAY.

Roses from Annette Coon

My dear friend Annette gave me this beautiful rose bush in a sack a few years back, "Happy Secretary's Day" she said, thank you for being such a great secretary. I have treasured this for years I moved it two years ago to a new home near my back door. We use our back door the most and all my friends and family come in the back door too - so this was a perfect welcome to anyone entering.
This year it has especially done an amazing job of growing and blooming. I cannot believe this is my first blooms of the season. So perfect, so beautiful. Just like the love Jesus has for us.
I love this rose bush. I love what it reminds me of. I love my dear friend Annette.
I especially love the fact that I haven't killed it yet! ha! The rain drops on it was so pretty this morning I just had to share and tell Annette thank you once again for this beautiful reminder of her. May you be reminded the beauty we have in Jesus and the precious people he puts in our lives.
ENJOY THE JOY!

Uncle Gilmer's 90th Birthday

Bunting for one yummy orange juice cake!  Mom in the background. She will be 80 this year!

The Birthday Boy. Can you believe he is 90 years old? He is a Chaplin at the hospital he lives near, and puts in a few days a week. There is the answer to living a long healthy life. Praying and serving others.

He sure was surprised that family all came and we had a big fish fry just for him.

My father in law, Ed who is 82, Uncle Gilmer's younger brother. Dad still cuts wood, mows, bow hunts, and fish.

This is Uncle Roy, Gilmer & Ed's younger brother. Still driving a semi and hauling steel.

Painting on Glass

Thanks to a dear wonderful lady Donna Harcourt who taught me the gift of One Brush Stroke Painting. I have fallen in love with painting on glass. Here are a few designs I did this past week. I can't believe I had the time to sit and paint a bit.

ENJOY!

Double Pocket Card

Well here is the promised "how to" make the double pocket card.

Cut double sided DESIGNER SERIES PAPER 12x12 paper to 8 1/2" x 11"
The card at the top is made with the ADORABLE DOMESTIC GODDESS PAPER
Domestic Goddess Designer Series Paper   #122355 $10.95

With your favorite side of the paper facing up and left corner fit into the corner of the TOTALLY AWESOME Simply Scoring Tool. Score along the 8 1/2" side at 4 1/4".

Turn the paper so the 11" side is at the top edge of Scoring Tool. Score at 5 1/5".
Add the AMAZING Diagonal Plate into the Scoring Tool. Flip the paper over with the 8 1/2" side at the top of the Scoring Tool, and score diagonal at 4 1/2" mark.
Turn the paper 190 degrees so the the other end of 8 1/2" side is at the top of the scoring plate and score diagonal at 6 1/2" again.
Fold the right side of paper at the 4 1/4" score mark to the left side of paper.
Fold down the diagonal scored mark at the upper corner.

Fold the paper in half at the 5 1/5" score line.

Fold the second corner down. Crease all fold lines well.
Glue a bit in the center top edge of card to hold the two layers together. Glue down the folds. That is it to making the base of the double pocket card. Easy huh. Make a few on scrap paper till ya get the hang of it. I practice on 20 of them for my club swap cards.
Sorry about the glare on this one, punch a strip of white card stock scrap using the GREAT SCALLOP PUNCH.
Glue to the underside of a strip of scrap background paper and glue along lower edge of card. You can make two and place on the inside of card too.
Punch a bunch of posies using coordinating card stock and background papers with the new BLOSSOM PUNCH.
Assemble and use a GORGEOUS GLIMMER BRAD for flower center.

That is it to making a great double pocket card. This idea is great for recipes, gift cards, poems, prayers, pictures even invites for celebrations.  Hope you are inspired to try one. If ya have any questions on the "how to" contact me.
ENJOY!
