Poppies

have you been thinking of getting this Poppies Stamp? Well here is two adorable cards to twist your arm a little more and get you to want it even more! You can order it anytime from my Stampin Up web site!

Club Card

I think the Dapper Dad Stamp set from the past mini is so stink'in cute. This made a great Father's dad card, but would work as a thanks and birthday too.

Stained Glass Card

Stamping and embossing on vellum paper then coloring the back side gives this a stained glass look. Tip: Let the vellum cool before coloring and let the marker ink dry before cutting the flowers out.

Club Card

Oh I love this new paper - click on the new catalog picture at the left and check it out!
Ya gotta get some!

Rose Journal

I made this for a Random Act of Art swap. I used scrap card board and covered it with card stock and some hand made paper. Stamped embossed with silver the rose stamp on watercolor paper. Water colored using ink from a stamp pad and aqua painters.... love them. Tied it all together add some embellishments and cut scrap multicolor and multitype of papers for the pages. Not shown, I punched holds and added ring clips to hold it all together. Hope you are inspired!

Where you been?

Have ya been wondering where I've been? Well I been working! I took a little part time job at the State Park this summer. I forgot how much time work takes away from crafting, blogging, well.... just about everything! Sorry if ya been missing me.. I've been missing me too! The job at the park is fun!
Well that is not all I've been up to. I redid my front garden. How ya like the sink? Oh I am so loving it! All the flowers are doing wonderful and filling in as I hoped. We are also getting some remodeling done on the house and a new roof - so it has been busy, noisy and crazy around here.
What have you been up to this spring?

Customer Appreciation, New Catalog Reveal, Card Buffet Party

For those of you who were unable to come, I hope reading this will give you a little feeling of being there too. As you walked in the door you were handed a welcome bag with a check list. This list was to help you not miss any of the fun things at the party.
Everyone got to make a project. It is a little Smash Book-let. I will post a video for you soon. So be sure to check back.

This is the adorable party prize. It is a cloths line clip with a magnet on it for the fridge. With a little bag filled with m&m's shaped like a butterfly. Super cutness!
The card buffet was super fun. You got to choose how many cards you wanted to make and what designs you liked the best. They were quick and easy and fun. I promise to have another card buffet soon and I promise to post the cards that were made. You may even see a few at upcoming clubs!
And there was snacks.....
and snacks.....
and oh my snacks! I will post the recipe to this yummy dessert from Sarah Smith soon too.

I hope you enjoyed the little tour and sorry to some how missed it. We had a great day of friends and stamping.  Plan to come next year.

My Fairy Garden

Welcome to my little fairy garden. We lost a tree this past winter to a storm. Lucky my car wasn't parked near it as usual. I was at a Stampin Up workshop and the tree came done right where I park. We needed the wood and branches for Emily's wedding deco, so it was really a good thing. BUT it left a ucky stump in the yard. So seeing this idea on Pintrest, I went on the hunt in our stash of stuff to find what I could use to make my own little fairy garden. I built (with help from the men in the family) the roof top bird house out of scrap lumber and shingles. Once that was attached to the stump top. I cut and sanded and painted the door. I painted everything with outside paint and sprayed with a couple of clear sealer layers. I moved the moss from a flower pot at the front of the house. I don't think it will last for long, as it is now in a sunny area. But will see as time goes. Sorry this shot is a bit fuzzy.

Here is a close up of the resident reading a book. I was given this little angle fairy and didn't have a place in the house for it so it set in a box for years. She now has her very own home! I still want to make a little sign for the front door. And put a blue rocks around the outer edges to make "water". My sweet grandsons made me a little wooden boat that I want to put in the "water". I planted a few of my favorite easy to grow garden flowers.
I love this boot. One reason as it was my dads and I think it is perfect for the garden too. I drilled some holds in the bottom of it so the water would drain. Filled it with potting soil and put some flowers that love dry and hot areas.I hope that maybe I will get a blooming cherry tree planted near here this little house. Maybe next year.

This just makes me smile and giggle every time I look at it.  I love the way it turned out. Hope you are inspired to turn a loss of a great tree into something that will make you smile too!

New totally clear totally awesome stamp set

Photopolymer: Wanderlust

We're excited to announce that a new photopolymer stamp set is now available. Wanderlust (item 133452 $13.95) is a great set for travelers-and wannabe travelers too. You and your customers will want to make sure to get this for capturing your summer trip memories, or to send a hand-made postcard to a friend or family member.

We've searched long and hard for just the right material to be able to introduce completely clear stamping. And we've found it. We're excited to announce that we now have wood-mount, clear-mount AND photopolymer stamps! The new photopolymer will be an addition to our stamp line and will appeal to all types of stampers. Our top-quality photopolymer has just enough give to create a perfectly stamped image every time and with the introduction of our firm-foam pads, let's just say they're meant for each other! Photopolymer stamps will also be unique, fun designs that will inspire you and provide more versatile options you may not see in our traditional wood- and clear-mount stamp options.
What makes them so great?
  • They're entirely transparent for perfect placement every time!
  • They are durable. The photopolymer material is designed to last.
  • Can you say sticky? (Don't worry; in a good way.) These stamps stick amazingly well to our clear blocks.
  • They're age tested. They won't yellow or cloud up over time.
  • We could go on, but we'll let you try them for yourself.
They are clearly a great choice. Click one flyers to see a larger view.
