Happy Wonderful Christmas

So are you ready for Christmas yet? Ya me either. I have shopped a little and we have the tree up. But I am really not ready for the holiday this year. I should be since I cleared my calendar and cancelled clubs. I am not ready in my heart or mind. Some people just love Christmas and all the hub bub that goes with the holiday, sometimes I wish I had just a little bit of that excitement to get me through it. I enjoy the baking and the gift giving, I just don't like what it takes to get there anymore. It is so much work and worry and money and ug - stuff!

I don't think Jesus intended His birthday to be such madness. As I get older I learned a few things. That the more simpler route to get to the day seams to be more my speed, and that time spent with loved ones is the best gift of all. If all the wonderful plans that my head makes up is moving faster then my body - it doesn't really matter anymore! The day will come and the day will go, and there will be cookies crumbs, left over ham and gift wrappings on the floor and the it will all be over and done in a blink of an eye.

So stop sometime between now and the madness and stand under the mistletoe and kiss your loved ones. Sip a cup of tea and read The REAL Christmas story. And pray that one day soon there will come Peace on Earth and Good Will to All.
