This beautiful card swap is from Becky Kirkman. She used the striped embossing folder and embossed the leaves in gold. Just beautiful!

Boo Bark

This yummy-ness is super easy to make. I used my Demarle silpat mat and poured on melted chocolate almond bark to about 1/4" think or so, then sprinkled on chopped up Halloween Oreo cookies, candy corn and chopped pretzels. I pushed the cookies, candy and pretzels into the chocolate a little just to be sure they were "stuck" good. Then I melted white chocolate almond bark and drizzled and blooped it over the crushed goodies. You can add sprinkles too if you want. All I had on hand was pink, blue and Christmas sprinkles, and that sure wouldn't work for this holiday treat. Pop it in the fridge till it hardens. Remove from fridge, break apart, and fill treat bags. The kids loved them. I love the easy and how cute it is. You can change up the color of the treats for any holiday.

Happy Halloween

I know I haven't posted in a while.... sorry. Life gets in the way sometimes, and we have yucky internet service, so a combo of those things keeps me away from time to time. But I am never away from the studio for long creating fun things.

This cute card was received in a swap from Marilyn Kratz. It is a fun layout that can be used for a multitude of different occasions. So are you ready for the candy filled fright night? We do not get any trick r' treaters living out in the country. But I always send stuff to our grandchildren, and the school mates in Candace's class gets a yummy treat.  I will share the treat tomorrow - so come back for a visit!

Poppies

One more page of Gallatos use. This was a quick, try it out in a different application way. I went stick to paper and then blended. Uhhhh nice!

Faith

It is high time I switch gears and show you a journal page. I got a set of Gallatos from my dear friend Pam Wright for my birthday. I had only tried them quickly once before and wasn't sure if I wanted to add them to my art supply collection, since I am a die hard water color pencil fan. But after really doing some fun art with them, I really love the creaminess of them. This is my first doodle using them, and I love it. They blend easy and are fun to play with. Thanks Pam for the wonderful gift of your friendship and the Gallatos!

Pumpkin

These three awesome pumpkins are by Bev Massengal. I love these pumpkins. In fact there were in a design for the National Card Making Day. They are easy to create and have a great wow factor.
And speaking of pumpkins. I used one of my moms old stamps to create my "Boo" swap. Mom liked to color, so I even did a bit of that too.

Bring on The Candy

The above ATC's are from the "Bring on the Candy" Swap. The large candy corn was created by me and I water colored the design, cut it out and glued it to the black back ground. I used a white gel pen to scribble the outline and glue on some star sequins. Then added the tag and covered button.
The cute ghost at the top is buy Janice Rowe. I love the way she layered background papers to crate her base. Pam Wright created the candy corn background bottom ATC. What a great reminder that God's word is sweet to our soul.
Rozella Finch created this spooky card once again using some great background papers.

Boo up some Candy

This is one fun card that Carolyn Houck created. I love that she used punched a window and added a pop up in side the card.
Georganne Caine said she cheated on this card... cheated on eating candy or cheated on using stickers? If I moved twice in one month I think I would cheat on both! Ha! Candy for the boost to move and stickers to get my swap done fast. I still love the shiny bright stickers.

I cant drive fifty five

This is just the funniest card ever! Thank you to Deb Lures for creating this great card. She did some sponging for the sky and moon. The tree stamp is from one of my all time favorite past stamp sets and I love the way she used it here. So can you drive a stick?

Boo to You Swap

This is the sweetest Halloween card ever. Gloria Ross made this and swapped it at card club. The theme was Boo! I love the back ground papers that she used and put together.
Super great idea by Becky Kirkman for using up back ground papers and the eyes are so fun on this card to.

Boo To You Owl

Sarah Smith made this adorable card. She used the ever popular owl punch to create a bat and ghost.
Susan Crabb made this cute owl card using a retired stamp set. She also used the great circle thinlit die to cut the card out.
Crista Miller made this awesome "time intense" as she said card. It looks like she may have used the ink pad right on the card stock, then she hand cut the tree out. Then she punched and cut and pieced the owls - WOW! As least all she had to do it stamp the pumpkin...and she also cut that out!

Birthday Swaps

I love swapping cards with my club gals. It is so awesome to see all the great designs they come up with. The bright flower card above was done by Bev Massengal. I love the colors the layout and the texture of this card. Using the DSP (designer series paper) always gives dimension to a card.

Rozella Finch made this adorable birthday card. It looks like she not only used stamps and colored them in, she also got really creative and cut out the cup cake from back ground paper to use as an element. Great idea!

Booty Boo

Tis the season to start off with a few Halloween cards. Let the October festivities begin. We are in the beginning of the down hill run to Christmas - yicks! Where has the year gone? I know we are three more months  away yet, but in a blink of an eye we will be gorging our selves in turkey and burred in wrapping paper!

Well lets start with one holiday at a time. I love fall, how about you? I think fall is my favorite time of the year, right next to spring. Fall has this warm wonderful beauty all to itself. The smells, the food, the color in the trees, it is like a bursting celebration of beauty before the cold gray winter hits. God is so good!

This fun "boot" Halloween card was shared at card club last month. I used the adorable stamp set Bootiful stamped in black ink, then colored in using stampin write markers, cut it out and pop dot it over olive green card stock tied with black ribbon. A strip of dsp (designer series paper) to add a bit more color to the already gorgeous eggplant envy card stock. Then I stamped and punched the Thats the Ticket stamp. Fun and bright and colorful.

You can order your goodies here to create this card. I would thank you a bushel loads for your order,. it helps keep me and my blog going. PLUS you get a great surprise in the mail as a thank you.

Then I got creative mixing the paint chips and creating the pansies, and then drawing stems and leaves for the cone flower card. I think these are my favorite.
