Quilting

Yep it is winter and what better way to spend long freezing cold icky days then under a warm quilt? This little quilt I made is for my oldest granddaughter Sadie. I fell in love with the fabric, the colors' and the prints.

I think I love making kid and baby size quilts more then bed size. At least I didn't pull my neck and shoulder out on this one!

I used the Villa Rose Designs pattern "Gypsy" for this quilt. Let me tell you how much I love Villa Rose Designs.... I so love them! They are easy to follow instructions, inexpensive, beautiful and fun. This is the second quilt I have made with this pattern, and I love the way it turned out.

Here is a shot of the back of the quit. I backed it in flannel and had a bit of scraps left over so I ran two fun contemporary stripes to give it a little color and personality. One color backings can be so boring.

In every class or video I read/listen to, they say over and over and over.... "add a tag, add a tag, add a tag". So I added a tag. Using my new Husqvarna Viking Diamond Royal embroidery machine makes tag making so easy and fun. So this quit has a tag.

I hope my beautiful girl will treasure it forever and save it for her babies too.
