Falling Leaves

With the closing of the season, well it feels like it anyway in Indiana! We have had unusually colder then norm temps lately, and I am so not ready for it.... but ol' man winter is a coming and I hear it is going to be a snowing and colder winter then last year.

I had to get one more fall card in, as we are not done eating the turkey yet, so hold on Santa lets have the grateful.... or is that greatly full belly of turkey and pumpkin pie first.

I needed a sympathy card, here lately I need a basket full of sympathy cards, as the Lord is taking a few of His and my beloveds home. It has really been and kinda continuing to be a hard last few months on friends and family members.

I used the Colorful Seasons Stamp Set bundle to create this special card. Just click the link to go to the order page for the bundle.
I cut the vanilla card stock for the base at 5"x11, then score it at 4 1/4" and 8 1/2" along the long (11") side of the base.

I folded on the score lines, making tight creases.

I then used a stampin sponge to rub on So Saffron ink.

Then stamp the leaf images in Cajun Craze and Always Artichoke Ink.

The greetings are stamped in Chocolate Chip Ink.

I then glued the a very thin line of glue down the flap and bottom edge to create a pocket on the inside of the card to hold the book marker. Do not use the SNAIL or tape, as it is to thick and the book marker will not slide in and out easily.

I used the 1/2" circle punch to punch a half circle for the finger slot in the center of the pocket top edge.

The book marker is cut to 5 1/2"x 2" from vanilla card stock, and then I punched the tag topper at the top, tied on the ribbon and once the glue is dry, slip the book marker inside the pocket.

This make a really lovely card for any occasion, that calls for a little extra special something.

Ordering this as a bundle with the dies saves you 10%.
