FREE Trip from Stampin Up

We were welcomed by this in the front of the Westin Hotel and Resort.

We took a walk on the beach every day and sometimes twice a day. The water was warm and the the weather was perfect.

Our room was great, comfy and nice bed. They gave the best soaps and shampoo/conditioner and Starbucks coffee in the room. Big screen TV - only used while napping.. ha!

Our view from our 5th floor balcony room. Ahh  vacations are so wonderful.

We went here and shopped and eat a great seafood lunch. Walked along the pier too.

Some of our beach finds. Including a bag of shells that have a new home in Indiana.

Hilton Head SC is so beautiful.
We sat here every day almost all day. Soaking in a little sun, lots of fresh air and forgetting about the rat race of life. Ahhhhh.....

I rested, and read almost four books while gone. We dinned on some amazing tasting food. Especially at the Sea Grass Grill. Oh my yummy! The veggies were grilled, chilled then tossed in a salad - yum. The filet was the best I ever tasted and huge with a scoop of Gorgonzola butter on top. Oh and then the Key Lime Cheesecake. Yep they combined two of my favorites.  It made your tongue slap yourself it tasted so amazingly good!  I think Bobby had his fill of seafood for a few weeks too!
We enjoyed this vacation so much it was hard to come back home.  It was a "do nothing" and "be still" for six days kind of vacation. Thanks to you my customers and the amazing company I work with, Stampin Up, for this time of rest and relaxation. I was ready to come back home and get busy... well no not really,  I was ready for another vacation like this! ha!

Happy Halloween Card

I just love this stamp set, because it is so easy to use. That 2-step stamping is just my favorite. No coloring, just put the rubber in the ink and stamp your heart out! You know me - if I can't get'er done in 30 seconds, I am not gonna do it!
So I punched out the label framlet and sponged around it, and sponged around the outside of the card. Stamped the pumpkins in pumpkin pie ink - stamped the faces in black. Die cut out the little leaves in old olive cards stock. Wa-la- 30 second Happy Halloween card! We made this at September's Card Club - wouldn't you love to see what we are making in Oct?  Come and try a club out. Super duper fun and you will get beautiful hand made cards that you really make with your hands. So come on - $10 bucks is a cheep fun night out. Email if you live near Cloverdale Indiana and you want try club.
I know - loving it huh! No faces.. makes a Happy Thanksgiving card.

Pumpkin Lantern

Isn't this just the cutest little pumpkin ya ever did see? Well let me tell how super duper easy it is to make. You will need 6 strips of 1" wide by 6" long card stock and the same in vellum card stock, except about 1/2" shorter, so 1 1/5" long by 1 " wide. Punch a hole in the ends of the strips. I used my crop-a-dile and did all the holes at the same time. Add a large brad. Yep, the kind you get in a office store. The really nice ones in the Stampin Up catalog are not long enough to hold all the strips. Now once you have the holes punched, stack up the strips. All the vellum ones together and the card stock ones together, add the brad and then fan out the strips till then make a circle. the vellum will be more towards the inside of the circle, and the card stock to the outside. This magic trick happened because ya cut the vellum a bit shorter... cool huh! Glue or pop dot the pumpkin to the center of a punched and embossed piece of Chocolate chip card stock for a base if ya want. Glue or pop dot the "leaf" topper. I used the blossom punch to make mine. Roll a scrap strip of chocolate chip card stock and glue together and onto the top of the leaf. It is cute with a piece of linen thread tied on to the stem and a thankful tag... ya mine is missing it - but I have done it, just didn't get a picture of it.
I added a battery operated tea light to the center, and it glows so pretty when the lights are low.
Enjoy and hope this inspires you to make a Pumpkin Lantern.Ya have questions... well email me and I will try to help ya out.
