Bunny Tails

Are you ready for Easter? Becky Kirkman made this adorable card by downloading a bunny shape from on-line and hand cutting it out. She embossed her background card stock layers and added a bit of printed paper. Tied a bow and added a tiny cotton ball tail. So super cute! Thanks Becky.

Lotus Blossom

Live Happy

This scrap page layout was shared at Scrap club this month. Using 12x12 whisper white card stock for the page base we stamped Chocolate Chip, Sahara Sand and Cameo Coral ink using the Gorgeous Grunge stamp set. Then we cut 3 1/2x12 Something Borrowed Designer Series Paper (DSP) strip and cut that off centered and layered that using Cameo Coral DSP ribbon cut strips, Sahara Sand Lace Trim and washi tape.

Here is a close up so you can see the washi tape and the little "live" tab. We stamped the word and then used the label punch to punch the shape and then used a dauber to highlight the edges some.

 Here is another adorable card from our little stamper Clair. With help from mom in punching out the shapes, Clair makes cards for everyone at card club. Adorable!

Update

Do you remember this post of some fabric I had chose.

 Well I am happy to announce that I got it all cut and pieced together. 

And I am so happy with the way it turned out.

The striped fabric in the centers really are nice, and I am happy with the color layout. Now to get the backing and batting layered in... then the quilting part. Almost done!

I used another pattern from Villa Rose Designs. I just love their patterns. Super easy to follow. I got all my fabric from my favorite quilt shop, The Back Door Quilt Shop in Greenwood Indiana.

Panda

My youngest stamp club member Clair made this adorable card to swap with everyone. Mommy helped punch out the shapes and Clair put it all together all by her self.

Okay, so who old do you think Clair is to do such a great job on this card?  Nope she is 4! Yep 4 years old, and she will sit for hours just stamping and cutting, and gluing away. And she has been doing this since she could sit up and hold a glue stick.

If Clair can do this at 4 - I cannot wait to see what she creates as she grows older - WOW! Thanks Clair (and mommy) for this adorable card.

Room Organization

I like a neat studio - well at least most everything in its place. It is not always like that and it doesn't always stay like that. Here is a little idea for storing some loose stamps. I love old things, well antiques anyway. We never had any growing up so I don't know where my love for old tattered worn things came from.

Both of these old typesetter drawers come from antique shops and were priced perfect for my budget. Many times they are really expensive. So when I saw these that were in need of a lot of cleaning and a bit of repair I scored and now look at them. Perfect for my little odds and ends stamps. Ahh - organization with antiques. Perfect for me.

Soups On

Making recipe pages are so much fun - especially when you have yummy recipes and good friends to make them and taste test them with.

 This page I shared an amazing Chicken and Wild Rice soup recipe that was given to my from my son-in-laws mom. It is so good and uber easy to make.

I used baked brown sugar c/s and designer series paper that I stamped the little house on and punched out. So cute.

Visitors

 We woke up to this last week! March 1st, really, more snow. Handsome measured 10.5". It should be all done and warming a bit. So what do you do when you are snowed in... craft, stamp, sew and take pictures of visitors.

 I sat on the floor in the garden room and snapped a ton of pictures of our visitors. I love my camera.  It makes me look like a pro! ha. These are shot through the glass door. Let not a pro judge them. I am happy with the outcome of the 50+ shots that I got.

I tossed out some bread crusts to get them to come in closer... yep shot and score!

 Our downy wood pecker comes every day and brings his little lady with him too. The birds just make me happy. God paints them so beautifully.

Ahh - what a day to spend inside.

Whats New?

 

I visited my favorite quilting shop this past weekend and spent over an hour choosing, changing, hunting, and drooling over fabric. I have a very special project ahead of me for a hero in our family. Our dear cousin, Ty Buchanan is serving in the Marines, and is currently stationed overseas. We want to send some love his way, so I am going to attempt yet another larger size quilt. 

I have all the pieces cut out, only made one boo-boo! So now get my sew on! I will keep you posted as this project progresses.
