Cruisin

Handsome took me on a cruise to celebrate our 25th year anniversary. I took handsome on a cruise to celebrate life! After having a small apple tumor removed from his brain I am so thankful he is still with me. Here he is four weeks post op.
Our ship the Radiance by Royal Caribbean. The ship was beautiful, but I had 4 days of no hot shower water.
This was the best place to spend time at. it was private, quite and comfy. I spent a many a hours relaxing, drawing in my art journal and reading out there. Handsome spent a many a hour napping.
In Bar Harbor Maine, they call this a "pond", however it is a size of a lake! We had a wonderful meal, with the best pop overs I'd ever tasted.
Our favorite port was Bar Harbor. The town is so fun for shopping and eating, but the landscape views we enjoyed traveling to Arcida National Park was amazing. We visited Cadillac Mountain, but didn't get to see very much as the fog was thick.

We visited Kennebunkport Maine, and Handsome enjoyed more seafood! I think he ate seafood at every meal, except for maybe breakfast. It was interesting to see the tide roll out so quickly and leave the water ways a mud field.

This is Peggy's Cove in Nova Scotia Canada. It it a working lobster village with 40 full time residents. It was so quaint and the little restaurant had the best gingerbread ever. I just wished we had enough time to eat there, because the food smelled amazing. We got rained on, but it didn't damper our visit.
The tour guides were all decked out!

We enjoyed the trip and experienced a first for out while on board. We got to visit the ships doctor! Bobby developed an infection in his scare area the first night we boarded. We got him fixed up with some very expensive meds, and we were on our way. The medical care was really great.

Hind-site we really should have postponed going till Handsome was further out post op, but the cost of forfeiting air flights we a bit much to swallow. I did get to rest a lot and basically went brain dead while on board. It was needed after all the stress we had been through this past year.
